Special Prevention and Care for Animals

Love Your Pet

Puppy with splints

This pup was born in the year 2000 and when I came back from work in the afternoon the pup was playing with her mother, and as I passed them she jumped back, landed underneath the front wheel. The wheel ran over her back legs and hips, breaking both her hips.I took her to the Vet the next morning and the Vet bandaged her as shown in the photo.
To get from one place to the other she would lift her back legs and by balancing walk on her front feet.
She recovered and a year later had two pups..

.
euthanasia cruel or humane
The photo on the left was taken fourteen years later but a week later the 16/03/2014 I found her on my bed rolling side to side with her head arched back. I took her to the Vet the next morning. The Vet told me that she had a stroke and the only medication was to put her to sleep.
Euthanasia was injected into a vein and she relaxed and went into a deep sleep, more euthanasia was injected and a few minutes later she stopped breathing.
This was the last thing I would have liked to do but I knew that she could never walk, eat, or see and would have died from hunger while
suffering, it was the only humane thing to do.
I took the little warm body home and dug a grave and buried her.  She was my my pet for fourteen years, rest in peace my little pet.

Euthanasia
Is Euthanasia cruel or is it a humane way to put your pet to sleep if the Vet cannot help it with medication or surgery. They say it goes into a peaceful sleep, and then the heart stops and it stops breathing.

This incident reminded me of the local S P C A and how they have to put pets to sleep because they can not find the owners or find a new owner. keeping the pets in kennels cost a lot, this is the reason they have to put them to sleep. Our local S P C A require funds to keep on with their mission.
I published this blog in the hope that I can raise funds for this purpose, a donation from you will be most welcome. Any amount will do, and what you can spare can be donated by Paypal button on the right side.
This blog will be updated every time a person with a  kind heart donates and it is used for the prevention and care of pets.
Your comments are welcome and in fact I would like you to comment and follow this blog.
